The Novotel Chennai Staycation experience was really overwhelming, warm, friendly & more importantly gave me a positive outlook on the tourism & hospitality industry.
I spotted small families doing birthday celebrations, people coming over for a casual Sunday lunch or even the occasional person who wanted to take a break from the routine mundane life.

Concept of Staycations
Gone are those days when people stayed in hotels, only when travelling to a different city. Everyone feels the need to take a break and get pampered in luxury.
Some people even opt in to stay during a workday , working from the comfort of the hotel room ,with a fast WIFI, a comfortable workspace , a Netflix enabled TV and of course some delicious food & coffee ordered through room service.
My experience of Novotel Chennai Staycation
All my fears vanished, when I saw the elaborate arrangements made for safety purposes in Novotel. Starting from the luggage disinefection, contactless checkin and the touchless lift keys , it was an entirely different “Post-Lockdown” experience.
Coming to the room, it had a seal of sanitation that made me feel a breath of relief.
The room was large, spacious and had a large bathtub with a host of accessories including Himalayan rock salts, bath gels among others.
The complimentary snack area had ID Filter coffee sachet, premium snacks and some healthy millets. These were carefully thought of and not the usual Snickers/Mars bar or a dairy powder.
Activities at Novotel OMR, Chennai
You can definitely rejig those tired muscles with a nice workout session at the gym, a practice cricket net session or even a game of basketball in the play area.
They actually have a bowling machine if you want to play solo..
Swimming Pool is yet to be open , post Govt Lockdown guidlines.
I managed to even take a mini picnic by the poolside , with a slight drizzle accompanying me.. From Sandwiches, vada paav, mini burger and a coffee, it was just absolutely perfect..

Pricing
Novotel in OMR, Chennai is a 5 star hotel , yet has managed to keep their pricing super low. A room for two people for two nights/three inclusive of lunch and dinner is only 4300 only.. Imagine taking a full luxury weekend vacation for less than 5000. It can’t get better than this in my opinion.
A mental block that everyone has been through with a strict lockdown was really hard. The mini vacation , despite within the city helped bring out a positive mindset, that things will become fine soon (almost back to normal) and travel might be back on cards starting domestic and later moving on to international places.

I liked the arrangements made by Novotel. But what surprises me the most, is that they’re providing amazing services at a very reasonable cost. The rooms and the amenities look amazing.
Now that’s quite an option to stay safe and in comfort in the middle of this exhaustive life

Novotel takes a lot of care of the guests. In this covid time, it is necessary to take proper precautions, it seems Novotel is doing the right thing. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family as a safe staying option.
Stay-cation is indeed a trending idea these days. I loved how Novotel is maintaining a top notch hygiene. The food too looks sumptuous and tempting!
Having had the privilege of experiencing Novotel hospitality many times, though not in Chennai, we can vouch for their benchmark of quality services. But it is really heartening to note the meticulous details which Novotel Chennai is looking into so that guests are safe.
I have stayed in some of the Novotel properties and I like them. The Chennai property look so good too and it’s great to find that it costs only 5k.
Novotel is one of my favourite staycations and I loved the way they treat their customers. I got a chance to stay at Darling Harbour Novotel in Sydney and the experience was amazing.
